Oh Really You Have Usher?

This excellently produced video should be seen by all in the Deaf world, including teachers, social workers and other professionals. 4% - 6% of all born deaf people have Usher and will develop the eye condition Retinitis Pigmentosa during childhood or early adulthood. With this video the Usher in the Deaf Community Project has done much to raise awareness of the needs of Usher people within the Deaf Community and to explain in clear and simple terms what it means to have Usher. Although aimed at those using British Sign Language, the subtitles and voice-over make it equally accessible and informative to all hearing people, as well as those Usher people who may be partially deaf.
