This book is written by two deafened people and gives very useful guidance to others with acquired deafness but also to professionals. It is Canadian but has a great deal to offer a much wider readership. It combines personal insights and experiences with professional perspectives, looking at the impact of acquired deafness on the deafened person and on relationships, and also particularly on the process of adjustment. In addition it offers valuable information for those setting up self-help groups or supporting others.
