The Deaf Studies Curriculum is designed to assist children in exploring all aspects of their indentity as bilingual children in today's multi-cultural world. This curriculum aims to instill pride and a strong sense of identity in Deaf people in society and understanding different modes of cummunication used by Deaf people. The pack includes a curriculum of six units - Deaf community & Culture/ Deaf Identity/Deaf History/Communication/Technology/Social change. It provides an overview of the teaching programme, samples of activities, samples of assessment formats with instructions and the attainment targets used to measure the children's progress throughout the curriculum.
