Assessing British Sign Language Development - Receptive Skills Test
This is the first standardised test of sign language to be published anywhere in the world. it is the outcome of a research project undertaken in the Department of Language and Communication Science, City University, London.
The test is designed to assess deaf children\'s understanding of BSL grammer. It is suitable for use by both Deaf and hearing practitioners working with deaf children from 3 to 11 years of age.
The test is presented in an easy-to-use video format. Two versions are provided - UK/south and UK/north - to take account of regional variations in sign vocabulary. Instructions for carrying out the test are included on the DVD in BSL, as well as in the Tester\'s Manual.
